Brain Cancer Australia is building the infrastructure, the collaboration, the momentum and the support to power brain cancer research in Australia.
The Challenge
From an initial brief of creating a website that merges the existing websites / brands of Brain Cancer Biobanking Australia and the Brain Cancer Collective, under the new name Brain Cancer Australia (BCA) leveraging initial work already commissioned (with a resulting wireframe developed) - the project has evolved into developing a more rigorous strategy as the foundation to creating a platform - not just a website.
DESIGN | CREATIVE DIRECTION
Part of a bigger team, my role was to create a style guide to unify the look and feel of the brand. I created a sleek yet relatable design using the elements in their logo, and adding stronger cohesion to the identity set. For example, a geometric sans-serif typeface was established for a scientific yet approachable feel. Primary and secondary color palettes were identified, visual imagery and photography guidelines set.
